With the introduction of the Nike Ja 1 Day One, a new era in Nike Basketball has begun. Ja Morant, a guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, got inspiration for his distinctive Day One sneaker from his formative years of basketball in South Carolina.

The Cobalt Bliss leather and mesh uppers of the Nike Ja 1 Day One are placed on top of Citron midsoles. The insole of the left sneaker and the tongue of each sneaker include the freshly created Ja Morant logo. A handwritten note from Ja that is dedicated to his staunchest followers and those who have supported him throughout his journey is printed on the insoles.
