Originally released in 1995, the Nike Air Rift was created to take on the great outdoors all over the world with its comfort and innovative design. Its name is a tribute to the Great Rift Valley in Kenya and a celebration of barefoot marathon runners. The split-toe detail is inspired by the traditional Japanese sock of the 15th century.
